With my robot only settlements, I just have the floating secondary ring of turrets since each of the robots there are more deadly than any one turret, still they never seem to get attacked though, even though the defense score for the settlement is much lower.I hope that helps you out.Fortress Defense Experimental (0.40 version)Äownload Dwarf Fortress with Basic Mode Pre-Installed/Graphics EnabledÄownload Dwarf Fortress with Basic/Challenge Mode Pre-Installed/Graphics Enabled Links are for 34.05 I've coaxed an 80% happiness out of a robot only colony before, by adding more bartender bots. I don't know why that works but it does, so the worker robots become more efficient. There are also some bartender robots that make only caps and increase the efficiency of the other robots. They make tons of fresh water, and at each such colony, a monoculture crop. They all have gatling lasers and miniguns for hands because I want them to deal three types of damage to would-be invaders, ballistic, energy and radiation. The second ring is to avoid sight line problems and give me a superior sniping position. When I make a colony of just robots, they are more specialized. I do this by only using the slightly more expensive machine gun turrets in a ring around my settlement, and a second ring above them on a floating wood platform that also forms a ring around my settlement. For them I build them 400 points worth of defense and I don't usually have time to respond to them being in trouble but they never lose. A settlement when killable flesh and blood people that can become unhappy, serviced by one robot that supplies them from another colony, I make them self-sufficient.They produce enough food and water for themselves, with a little left over for me to collect as rent for allowing them to live on my land. Without mentioning a mod, I will answer your question as best I can. My Sanctuary has over 300 defense and I didn't get a defend message yet. Turrets alone are more than enough but I personally like a mixture of turrets, robots and settlers for roleplay purposes. No matter what robots are assigned to they will still defend settlements.
I'm not sure if they can use Artilery though, but they also add to the settler cap and they are expensive to craft compared to turrets. For Automatrons to provide a defense rating for settlements they have to be assigned to guard posts but will only provide 2 defense regardless of how armed they are.
Plus it's just cool to see a small army of sentry bots patrolling my settlements XD. I prefer bots though, since they have more mobility. Also then it won't matter if you use robots or turrets because settlers are immortal, which I believe bots count as.
Plus it's a great mod for better management of settlers, I highly recommend.
Now you can ignore all those pesky 'DEFEND XXXXXX' quests and get a success update 5 min later. Makes settlers immortal even when you aren't there. Initially I thought the amount of defense your settlement has had to be. Like me, you may be wondering exactly what the secret formula is behind the defense system for settlements in Fallout 4. For you to do: place generators, water pumps, defenses, and so on, but your. The Sim Settlements mod for Fallout 4 is so good it should be an.
